Our Testimonials
From the start, Dan was very responsive and polite. He was always available by phone and responded promptly to emails. The job was mainly performed by two other gentlemen. They were both very professional and considerate. Dan's estimate for the labor was fair (see below for the estimate on the materials) and he stuck to it, even though I think they ended up having to do more work than they anticipated when they discovered the condition of the subfloor underneath the tile they removed. If so, they didn't charge us extra for that additional work and materials and we appreciated that. They did a good job of keeping the mess from the demolition contained to the kitchen, and left the kitchen in a state so that we could use it at the end of each day. They knew we would need to use our kitchen that week, so they made sure that they didn't disconnect more appliances than they needed to for that day, and then moved it all back in place at the end of the day so we could use them that evening. Although it was messy, we were not without a kitchen during the remodel and that was appreciated. The project ran longer than they anticipated it would, but they were flexible about getting it finished to meet our time concerns, staying late one night to get it finished in time. We are very pleased with the finished product. They paid huge attention to detail, making sure every cut was measured and perfect, and it really shows. We would use them again and again, and plan to call them when we are ready to start our next project. The only wrinkle in the whole experience is that we were left with a good amount of extra floor tile amounting to a few hundred dollars. The flooring place where we purchased the tile (Avalon Flooring) at Dan's recommendation will not take it back, so we will have to try to sell it. Dan did offer to try to use it on another job, so we could get some money back for it, so it may be resolved in that manner. I would not use Avalon Flooring again to buy materials, though. I think it is a bad policy that you cannot return unopened boxes of tile, especially when you are not told that at the time of purchase. In all, we are very pleased with our new kitchen floor. Dan is a great businessman and the gentlemen he has working for him, especially the older one, are really good. The older gentleman's work was awesome. We are very impressed by his expertise. He takes great pride in his work. Thank you to Dan and Dremodeling!

Related Project: Transitional Marble Bathroom Remodel
This 1920s townhouse located near the Philadelphia Art Museum was practically begging for a bathroom remodel. Originally furnished with a small, plastic shower and a mismatched material palette, this bathroom now boasts a spacious walk-in shower and beautiful custom gray cabinetry, with resplendent marble throughout. Even though there is only one window, the sunlight washes over the space in a wonderful balance that would brighten anyone’s morning routine. Hexagonal tile and stainless steel hardware bring a modern touch to this otherwise timeless gray and white design and build project. Thanks to dRemodeling, the new space accurately reflects the owners’ personalities and is, without a doubt, a space to be proud of.
