Luxe Modern Kitchen Remodel in Philadelphia
Project Description
dRemodeling was tasked with bringing new life to this Central Philadelphian kitchen. With the kitchen closed off with a large peninsula, circulation in the existing kitchen space was lacking. To create better flow and work triangle throughout the space, we reformatted the kitchen footprint to include an island. This allowed for multiple users, and also relocated the refrigerator to be accessible at the perimeter of the kitchen for easy access for drinks and snacks by the client’s children.
To bring the kitchen styling up to speed with the rest of the client’s design taste throughout the home, the new cabinetry was designed in a contemporary slab door in multiple finishes. Navy cabinetry bases were paired with white cabinetry uppers, accented with wood stained tall cabinetry.
The large format porcelain tile on the floor, creates a feeling of crisp lightness throughout the space, contrasting the darker flooring in the adjacent dining room.
A white quartz waterfall countertop was used on the island, with the same white quartz cladding the counter and backsplash area of the range for easy cleaning. Additionally, an accent geometric marble mosaic was featured, to bring everything together. Unique, modern fixtures were the finishing touches, in the forms of linear lighting, sink with drop-in accessories, and adjustable height faucet.
