dRemodeling is one of the highest-rated remodeling companies in Philadelphia and has been ranked as one of  the top 50 remodeling companies in the USA, is now looking for a skilled LEAD CARPENTER to lead a project team involved in various construction projects.

A lead carpenter is responsible for the success of a remodeling project during the production stage and takes the lead on the renovation of our kitchen and bathroom projects in and around Philadelphia.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Taking pride in high-quality craftmanship, and ownership of our renovation/remodeling projects’ overall outcome;
• Assigning and explaining tasks to members involved in a project;
• Determining and ordering materials required for constructions/remodeling projects;
• Supervising onsite carpenters and working as part of the production team;
• Performing carpentry duties required;
• Estimating the cost of materials and the amount of labor and time;
• Reporting the progress and needs required for the project;
• Ensuring the safety and health regulations during work operations;
• Maintaining accurate records of all work done by the project team; and
• Ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget.

 
REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES include but are not limited to:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Lead Carpenter in all phases of high-end residential remodeling or custom home constructions
• At least a high school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Strong carpentry skills and Knowledgeable in construction methods
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable transportation with a full complement of tools
• RRP and OSHA certification desired but not mandatory
• With remodeling and/or residential construction experience
• Proficient in using tools and knowledge on the safety of operating power tools
• Ability to read and understand detailed construction documents or blueprints
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Has a sense of urgency or good time managements skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Physically fit: must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
