Old City Philadelphia Transitional Master Bath Makeover

Project Description

This creamy neutral bathroom is a beautiful end result to a series of design and installation difficulties. This bathroom is located on the 4th floor of a historical home in the Old City Section of Philadelphia. With a steeply sloped ceiling, the design had to be cleverly laid out to allow for the maximum use of the space. Our client’s wishes were to include a separate shower and soaking tub, along with a double vanity, and towel warmer. Our designer managed to include each of his requests into this unique space, at the same time maintaining the feel of spaciousness of the room.

A larger format porcelain tile was used on the floor in a darker tone, grounding the room and modernizing it at the same time. Halfway up the walls, white subway tile brightens up the space, and allows for a timeless and classic feel. Paired with a modern, elevated soaking tub and a more traditional style of toilet, this space seamlessly molds classic and modern for a transitional space the appeal to the masses.
